I bought this about a month ago for an upcoming metal shed job that I was really worried about because there would be a lot of trimming required and regular tin snips have always been a challenge for me. I went to install my sheeting this morning and the first thing I discovered was the metal had been cut about a 1/2" long. This tool let me cut my delta rib 3' sheeting like butter. One of the best tool investments I have made.
2. I took this tool with me to Puerto Rico to do disaster relief - mostly installing new metal roofing. It works great. The swivel feature allows you to turn the drill on its side so the battery is not in the way while you are cutting. I highly recommend this tool for cutting galvanized roofing panels.
3. I wanted this because it was cheaper and smaller than the bare tool. So far, it's easy to stay on the lines. And if you don't, you can trim with em. I see very much use coming it's way!! It's strong, light, and makes light work of long straight or curved cuts!! If you are thinking about it, might as well get it, it saves you time and energy!!
